Wembley Central and Alperton Residents' Association (WCARA) was formed by bringing two local action groups together. Keep Wembley Tidy and One Tree Hill Residents' Associations. Our goals and aims are very similar in respect to encouraging our community, including Schools, Places of worship and the shops in Ealing Road & Wembley High Road to work together for a cleaner, greener, safer area in which to live.

We want to ensure that the new residents association have a voice that is shared with elected and non elected officials at Brent Council.

Weve identified the following as broad goals:
  • Having a formal body to lobby on behalf of residents and to liaise with the public bodies including staff of Brent Council officials (elected and non-elected)
  • Actively enhancing the safety and well-being of our families and neighbours
  • Working as a community to give back to our wider society
  • Sharing resources and information
  • Socialising/building that community feeling

But don’t leave out the fun – we’re all about that too. Stay tuned for more about this in 2018.

To make things happen, our aim is to create a structure where officers of the committee are duly elected the residents of Wembley Central & Alperton wards:
  • Chairman
  • Vice Chairman
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Members Secretary
  • Committee Members

Where necessary, sub-committees of other residents will be formed to execute certain projects. This is not a closed group, we want every resident to have a say in the local area.
