Alperton House, The Boat Pub & Hotel, and Units 9 & 10 Abercorn Commercial Centre, HA0 1EH
the above site has been allocated by Brent Council in their Development Plan Document (DPD) as suitable for a comprehensive, mixed-use development.

Plans by Developers Redrow Homes and Peabody for the site now include c.500 new homes, of which 35% will be affordable. This is alongside new retail space and workspace, with an element of affordable workspace, and the re-provision of an improved canal-side bar. Improving the public realm in the immediate area will also be a priority, and developer intends to provide a new public space adjacent to the Grand Union Canal.

Developers are holding a public consultation drop-in on Monday 9 July and Thursday 12 July, to share our ideas with the local community. This will take place between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on both dates, at Brent Play Association, which is located on the ground floor of Peppermint Heights, Northwick Road, HA0 1LG. Please find attached a newsletter.

We recognise the importance of new homes in our area, at the same time we are aware of the challenges that residents face in terms of infrastructure, school places, GPs. WCARA will be attending to learn about the proposed development and raise any issues we see.

Developers are keen to meet ALL local residents to discuss their proposals, either at the consultation drop-in as detailed above. Please do attend, if you are unable to, please drop us an email and we will be happy to represent your views. Contact us on chair@wcara.org.uk
